Inventory and Technical Assistant
Job Summary
To prepare and test Panavision equipment. To work with other departments to ensure good equipment flow throughout the prep process. To liaise with shift leaders and HOD on equipment issues. To ensure good customer service is delivered both internally and externally. Proactive promotion of all processes and new initiatives. Prepare, check and ship equipment for rental. Support crew requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Additional duties may be assigned from time to time:
- Examine, clean, test and perform basic adjustments of equipment (which equipment and what testing is dependent on technical aptitude as determined by company training program and supervisor). Perform maintenance of equipment within Technicians capabilities and degrees of technical knowledge
- Ensure highest level of customer satisfaction through to job completion by interfacing with all internal departments while maintaining active, informative contact with client (internal or external).
- Inform supervisor of any conflict around equipment, keep track of all shortages.
- Work with clients as their equipment requirements change during testing, fielding questions and seeking technical support from supervisors when necessary.
- Locate and pick client’s equipment orders following detailed company procedures for equipment preparation and dispatch. Ensure equipment works to the manufacture specifications and the accurate functioning of various components
- Maintain all working functions of assigned prep process area. Uphold and follow safety guidelines and precautions to prevent injuries and accidents
- Examine, clean, test and perform basic adjustments of equipment (which equipment and what testing is dependent on technical aptitude as determined by company training program and supervisor).
- Ship equipment accurately and in a timely manner ensuring all system data is updated and correct.
- Keep storage, test bays and all work areas neat and organized
- Other duties as needed.

Production Manager- Belfast/NI
Production – Belfast, County Down (Hybrid)
Location: Northern Ireland (Hybrid – Remote & Belfast Office)
Makematic is seeking an experienced and highly organised Production Manager to oversee the planning and delivery of educational video projects—both live-action and animated. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, you will work closely with producers, creative leads, and external suppliers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high editorial and production standard.
This is a hybrid role, requiring the ability to work remotely and from our Belfast office.

Senior Producer (2 Positions Available)
Production – Belfast, County Down (Hybrid)
Makematic is seeking (up to) two Senior Producers based in Northern Ireland to lead the development and delivery of high-quality live-action and animated educational content as part of our new ClassSpark series. ClassSpark is a video-first professional learning series for teachers, focused on subject areas in
the humanities and, in particular, US and world history.
This role is integral to every phase of production—from ideation to scripting, directing, and final delivery. The ideal candidate is a seasoned producer with strong storytelling skills, editorial judgment, and a passion for history and education.
This is a hybrid role, with the flexibility to work remotely and from our office in Belfast as required. Regular travel is part of the role, primarily within the United States, with occasional trips to Europe. During peak production periods, travel is typically required every 4–6 weeks. While these roles are intended to
be full-time staff positions, consideration will be given to longer term or fixed term contracts.

Associate Producer
An Associate Producer at Makematic is a key part of the producing team, working alongside a lead producer across any number of educational projects. The purpose of this position is to support the producer(s) both logistically and creatively.
Key responsibilities
- Support the production workflow from concept to delivery on assigned projects
- Follow and update standardised Makematic task management documents and platforms throughout all productions
- Work with the lead producer on development of creative treatments and research as well as the creative vision for allocated projects
- Collaborate with producers on creative decisions, such as scripting, storyboarding, visual development, and content development.
- Organise, coordinate and help develop ideas with script writing team
- Support the project team including Researchers, Animators, Script Writers, Editors and Producer
- Oversee specific segments or portions of the project.
- Help to set up and organise shoots, edits, and audio mixes, and coordinate schedules.
- Liaise with and guide animators and editors throughout the post production process.
- Assist producer with invoices and cost tracking and help manage budget
- Communicate with relevant internal and external team members professionally
- Assist with post-production tasks like scheduling, reviewing cuts, or coordinating deliverables.
- Assist in the delivery and filing of 3rd party agreements, Risk Assessments and Health & Safety law
- Research and logging of archive/3rd party materials for projects
- Take responsibility for post production paperwork and metadata ensuring it is accurate and delivered on tim.

Spark Media are looking to hire an experienced full-time Development AP to join our Belfast office.
The successful candidate will be:
• An avid TV watcher and have a genuine enthusiasm for TV and watch a wide range of content as well as keeping across the latest trends and emerging on-screen talent.
• Experienced in researching and formatting ideas.
• A strong writer who can write catchy log lines and write full treatments/decks quickly.
• Able to design eye-catching thumbnails and pitch decks.
• Curious about the world we live in, able to identify trends, movements, organisations and communities that could form the basis of a great TV idea.
• Happy to contribute to / run brainstorming sessions on a wide variety of subjects but also can self-manage and create solo.
• A self-starter with strong communication skills.
• Ability to self-shoot and edit would also be assets but not essential.
As part of a small team, you’ll work directly to Spark’s Head of Development.
You will be based in our Belfast office.
