We strive to lead by example, championing initiatives that promote sustainable production methods, resource efficiency, and a lower carbon footprint across all aspects of screen production in Northern Ireland.

A Sustainable Screen Sector
Northern Ireland Screen is committed to ensuring that all productions are made in a sustainable way. All productions filming in Northern Ireland are strongly encouraged to apply for Albert certification.
Certification is a straightforward process that involves measuring the carbon footprint of the production with the Albert calculator and completing a questionnaire. This will enable you to create a Carbon Action Plan in order to reduce the carbon footprint. The Carbon Action Plan will then lead to Albert certification.
Albert run free online training courses in sustainable production, editorial training and the use of their Albert toolkit. All details are available at www.wearealbert.org.
