Job Description

The School Engagement Coordinator for Northern Ireland serves as a crucial liaison for the Into Film programme in the region. This role involves actively engaging with schools and educators to promote and support their participation in various initiatives related to film, games, and creative media.

The Engagement Coordinator will be instrumental in ensuring that schools and teachers have access to the full range of educational resources, training, and opportunities offered by Into Film. They will collaborate closely with the Northern Ireland team to provide tailored support and foster meaningful connections between schools, the creative arts, and the industry.

Given the nature of the role, the Co-ordinator may need to work occasional weekends and extended hours, as well as travel regularly to designated regions and occasionally elsewhere in the UK.

Executive Producer

Location: Belfast

As an Executive Producer at Tern, you will report to the Tern Managing Director, Harry Bell, and be responsible for managing and overseeing the production of high-end factual programming from concept through to completion. In this senior leadership role, you will also take the key management lead of our Belfast Office, driving production strategy, overseeing a talented team and ensuring the delivery of world-class content. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced producer with a passion for factual television and the ability to lead teams and manage operations in a nations office.

BELFAST BASED DEVELOPMENT AP

Can you spitball ideas that could become the next big returnable format?
Do you know the precincts you’d love to get access to because they make compelling telly?

Spark Media are looking to hire an experienced full-time Development AP to join their Belfast office.

The successful candidate will be:

• An avid TV watcher and have a genuine enthusiasm for TV and watch a wide range of content as well as keeping across the latest trends and emerging on-screen talent.
• Experienced in researching and formatting ideas.
• A strong writer who can write catchy log lines and write full treatments/decks quickly.
• Able to design eye-catching thumbnails and pitch decks.
• Curious about the world we live in, able to identify trends, movements, organisations and communities that could form the basis of a great TV idea.
• Happy to contribute to / run brainstorming sessions on a wide variety of subjects but also can self-manage and create solo.
• A self-starter with strong communication skills.
• Ability to self-shoot and edit would also be assets but not essential.

As part of a small team, you’ll work directly to Spark’s Head of Development.
The role is full time starting in April for an initial 3-month contract with a view to extending.

You will be based in the Belfast office.

Rare TV

PRODUCTION COORDINATOR/ JNR PRODUCTION MANAGER

Rare TV are seeking an experienced PRODUCTION COORDINATOR/ JNR PRODUCTION MANAGER to work on a returning show for a UK Broadcaster starting 31st March for 38 weeks.

Experience of working on presenter led factual entertainment preferable.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 Production Coordinator credits, be highly organised with great attention to detail, personable, confident with talent, have experience with call sheets, booking talent travel and accommodation, finance reconciliations, Silvermouse paperwork and Alvery Sustainability reporting. A knowledge of PMI would be an advantage but not essential.

Studio dates which you must be able to attend: 8th – 19th September in England.

This role is from pre-production through to final post so the ideal candidate would also have experience in post-production and final paperwork.

Rate will be based on experience.

Long Story TV

Trainee Script Editor

Episodic TV drama

Sector: Live action – Scripted (Drama)

Production Company/SPV: Long Story TV

Start Date: As soon as possible

The successful candidate will:
– Learn role of script editor in development including conceptualising an idea, and how to develop it.
– Note giving and taking and how to do it effectively.
– Learn about the role of practical script editing on a production including using Final Draft, producing amendments, ‘negative checking’.
– Learn the skills to communicate effectively as a script editor, including how to work with writers and executives.
– Have one-to-one sessions with executives and participate in meetings with writers, directors and producers when appropriate.
– Learn how to represent the script department on set, working with production and cast to answer character, story and dialogue questions.
– Work flexibly in line with production demands and to travel to locations which are not always easily accessible or on a public transport route.

You will receive appropriate training – for example Final Draft software.

Essential Criteria:
– One years’ paid experience of script reading or reporting for a production company, broadcaster or funding body
OR two years’ professional experience working in film & television.
– An ability to generate original and creative ideas.
– A high level of organisational and communication skills.

Desirable Criteria:
– A clean driving license and access to a car for work purposes.
