Job Description
A costume trainee is responsible for assisting the costume designer as well as other members of the team to ensure the smooth running of the costume department.

Depending on the scale of the production, a costume trainee’s responsibilities might include assisting with research, sourcing, shopping and returns, basic alterations, laundry and organising costumes and costume supplies. A costume trainee may be required to assist during casting and support artist fittings as well as assisting members of the costume team on set during filming.

Job Description
A production trainee is responsible for assisting the Production Co-Ordinator as well as other members of the team to ensure the smooth running of the production department.

Depending on the scale of the production, a production trainee’s responsibilities might include:

  • Ordering and collecting lunch / making tea & coffee
  • Answering the main production phone and directing calls as required
  • Office admin – photocopying, scanning, writing and filing purchase orders, petty cash returns, ensuring the production office is kept clean and tidy
  • Distributing paperwork to crew – schedules, scripts, sides, callsheets, movement orders, risk assessments
  • Communicating with various departments and external vendors re: travel, shipping, equipment etc
  • Organising and collecting supplies – ensuring the production office is stocked with all essentials
  • Running items to and from set

INCISIV : TRAINEE 3D GENERALIST

INCISIV is a pioneering VR company based in Belfast that focuses on enhancing performance through the power of gameplay.

The company’s first game, CleanSheet Football, launched on the Meta Quest Store in October 2023 and PSVR2 in May 2024. Following the success of CleanSheet Football, INCISIV is currently ramping up production on their second title, a sport/fitness VR title based on evading and tackling opponents in a cyberpunk-style setting.

Job Title: Trainee 3D Generalist
Contract Length: 12 months
Start Date: September 2024
Hours: 37.5hrs per week

Job Description

As a 3D Generalist with a focus on 3D modeling, environment creation, re-texturing, optimization, and shader creation, you will collaborate with the Lead Developer to enhance the visual and technical aspects of INCISIV’s titles. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and optimizing modular and reusable assets while adhering to industry best practices. You will ensure that polycounts and draw calls remain below specified thresholds for optimal performance. Utilizing tools such as Blender, Maya, and the Unity game engine, you will prototype new ideas and create production-ready assets within an existing framework. You will work as part of a tight-knit team, with autonomy and ownership over various aspects of game development. Your role will involve contributing to the game’s visual design, shaping technical implementation strategies, and gaining exposure to all elements of production.

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrable expertise in creating 3D assets/models
  • Experience using computer graphic software (e.g. Blender, Autodesk 3ds Max or Maya)
  • Experience in Unity animation/asset pipelines
  • Comfortable working within a team environment
  • Able to optimise animations or assets for VR environments (reduce draw calls, reduce polygons etc)
  • Willing to undertake challenging tasks with good attention to detail

Desirable Criteria:    

  • Model rigging
  • Experience using MoCap data for animations
  • Developing asset workflows for Unity
  • Experience texturing with relevant 3rd party packages
