The Trailblaze Mentoring Programme delivers training through a structured, personalised mentorship model designed to support young people pursuing a career in the screen industries. Each participant is matched with a professional mentor working in the screen industries (Film, TV, Games, VFX, Animation), with whom they will engage in monthly one-on-one sessions conducted via Zoom. Beyond the mentorship sessions, Trailblaze incorporates in-person workshops and events that focus on building confidence, networking skills, and goal setting. These are complemented by peer meetups, Festival screenings, and film-related events, fostering a sense of community and mutual support among participants.
The programme also emphasises the development of practical life and technical skills, such as CV writing, understanding self-employment and tax, using industry-standard software, and improving communication and interpersonal abilities. This holistic approach ensures that participants are not only better informed about their chosen career paths but also equipped with the tools needed to succeed
