TIDES is a visual letter to the city of Derry from its prominent citizen: the river Foyle. In an imaginative and poetic way, the dance film, TIDES will be a joyous celebration of the river Foyle, its history, its past and new stories that have lived in its water and along its bank. Having witnessed all the major historical events that happened beside its banks and all the personal stories that have floated close to its tides, the ‘most silent’ citizen of Derry, the River Foyle, is going to tell us its story in a sort of magical autobiography.
