The film follows Gerard as he returns home to Northern Ireland after hearing that his brother has had a stroke. Gerard has not been back in some time following some of his own personal trauma. He had been involved in a car accident a few years before and his brother, the stroke victim, was the one who seemingly got him back to where he is now. Gerard’s old best friend is now married to his sister and his ex girlfriend to his brother. Upon arriving he finds out that there are other reasons such as a will and estate that a few of the siblings want to discuss. This creates lots of drama between the family and spouses until the breaking point arrives when the family must choose between the past or building a future. Gerard decides that he doesn’t really have a part to play in the families plans so he leaves once again leaving the will and estate to the rest of them.
