As the grandmother’s condition worsens, the girl’s desperation grows, turning what began as a fantastical distraction into a dark compulsion. The girl’s quiet determination and secrecy creates a rift with her concerned father, whose handling of his own problems, blinds him from the darkness infesting his daughter and home.
