Harry McKee is a middle-aged, worse for wear, Belfast breakfast television presenter. His work and his marriage are falling apart. His wife, Ruth, wants a divorce and a good settlement. Following an unprovoked assault on him at an all-night garage, Harry apprears to loose his memory. Ruth tries to win him back, but as the original husband she would still like him to be – not as the womanising drinker he had become. Harry is pursued by a mad, gay politician, Walter Adair, who was outed by Harry on his breakfast show. The future looks uncertain . . .
