Screen Academies release upcoming programmes

Screen Academies have released new dates for its workshops across animation, VFX and game development.
The Foundation Academy for Animation
The Foundation Academy for Animation is open to any young person aged 16-19 throughout the region with the enthusiasm and commitment to pursue a career within the animation industry and who is not currently attending university.
The Foundation Academy for Animation is a unique 12 week training programme focussing on 2D animation, providing training and hands-on experience of key job roles within the animation industry. All training will be delivered by industry professionals offering the opportunity to learn from their experience. Participants will be introduced to the animation production process working in a small team to learn about design, storyboarding and animating to complete a finished project. The academy will run in both Nerve Belfast and Nerve Centre Derry from September- December 2021.

Animation Academy Blended Learning Programme
The blended learning programme offers a unique opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about the animation industry in Northern Ireland but who may be unable to commit to the full 12 week programme of the Foundation Academy for Animation.
Once you have been accepted onto the blended learning programme you will be added to a google classroom where you become part of an animation community, have access to the resources and industry feedback when needed. Everyone who completes this programme will be eligible to apply next year for the full 12 week programme of the Foundation Academy for Animation.
This short course is open to young people aged 15-19. Closing date for applications is Monday 20th September. Click HERE to apply.
VFX Blended Learning programme
The blended learning programme offers a unique opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about the VFX industry in Northern Ireland but who may be unable to commit to the full 12 week programme of the VFX Academy.
Once you have been accepted onto a blended learning programme you will be added to a google classroom where you become part of a VFX community, have access to the resources and industry feedback when needed.
