Production Co-ordinator training course

Northern Ireland Screen intends to run a Production Co-ordinator training course commencing April 2016. The course is free and aimed at anyone currently working in production in a junior position who would like to get a better understanding of the role of a Co-ordinator/Assistant co-ordinator.
The course will cover drama, animation & factual from pre-production through to delivery and will include the career trajectory for each genre.
The course will be held each Saturday from 9th April – 28th May at a Belfast venue and will be led by a local Production Manager but will also include relevant guest speakers throughout the course.
The course will cover:
- The responsibilities of the Production Co-ordinator
- Project management
- Understanding budgets & scheduling
- HR – advertising, crewing, interviewing, contracts and deal memos
- Setting up the production office
- Accounting procedures
- Dealing with cast/agents, child licensing
- Health & safety, insurance, legal & copyright
- Travel & shipping
- Shoot paperwork
- Accountability
- Post-production
- Wrap & delivery
Finally, you will complete a First Aid In The Workplace training course which if successful, you will receive a certificate that will be valid for three years.
