Introduction to Script Editing for TV workshops
Date Posted: November 15, 2022
Every good television drama starts with the script and script editing is a key part of the process. The script editor helps the writer tell their story so that it best connects with the audience.
Do you want to learn how it’s done?
We are hosting an Introduction to Script Editing Workshop that takes you through the steps involved in creating an episode of TV drama. Attendees can register for either Monday 5th December or Tuesday 6th December. The workshop will be held in The Good Room at Bullitt Hotel from 6:30pm – 8:30pm.
We’ll explain the role of the Script Editor and how they help the writer take their story from idea to screen, using Hope Street as our template. If you’re passionate about screenwriting and you want to help shape the TV drama of the future, then script editing could be for you.
This two-hour workshop will be run by Claire Fryer, Head of Development, Long Story TV and Sarah Hewitt, Script Editor, Hope Street S3, Long Story TV. The workshop will will be followed by a Q&A.
Long Story TV was established in 2020 by Paul Marquess (London Kills, Suspects, The Bill, Footballers’ Wives) and Donna Wiffen (The Bill, Crime Stories, Murder Investigation Team). The company works with established and emerging talent to produce popular, returning television drama.
To reserve your place on the workshop, please email Rachel at [email protected] by Monday 28th November.
Please note that places will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis and there are 12 spaces available for each workshop.
