Applications open for Budgeting and Scheduling for Virtual Production in Film courses

Date Posted: June 28, 2022

BIFA, in partnership with Treehouse Digital and ScreenSkills, has opened applications for its Budgeting and Scheduling for Virtual Production in Film courses. You will receive insight into how to strategically work virtual production into your current projects without exceeding limited budget allowances, while gaining understanding into the strategic planning process around your project’s schedule and how to make virtual production work for you on any budget.

These courses are being generously funded by ScreenSkills as part of the BFI Future Film Skills programme using funds from the National Lottery to ensure there are no financial barriers to joining the sessions. Travel for the in-person sessions and additional access costs will also be covered. Places on each session are limited to ensure maximum engagement and impact for participants.

Budgeting and Scheduling For Virtual Production In Film has three core elements to the programme; sessions, surgeries and support. The sessions are primarily talks to enhance learning and industry knowledge, complemented by surgeries to allow participants to dissect their own projects. The sessions encourage growth and the transfer of knowledge, incorporating case studies relevant to the individual. The Treehouse Digital team is happy to provide enhanced support to those taking part should they need further help and guidance.

WHO CAN APPLY?

These courses are specifically aimed at those who have experience working in the film industry and are looking to expand their knowledge of how to effectively budget and schedule for the use of virtual production in film or TV.

You do not need to have worked with virtual production, but you do need to have a keen interest or a project you want to develop with the use of virtual production. We hope these courses will give greater insight to the possibilities of working with virtual production.

Applications close on Monday 1st July (midnight).
