Northern Visions Television & Scots-Irish Media / EEO Ltd Announce the Launch of New TV Series: Ulster-Scots Voices: Shaping a Global Legacy

This compelling four-part series explores the enduring rich heritage, cultural impact and global influence of the Ulster-Scots community, and has been supported by Northern Ireland Screen’s Ulster-Scots Broadcast Fund.
The series, which premiered 3rd December 2024 at 8pm on NVTV examines how the values, traditions, and contributions of Ulster-Scots people continue to resonate globally across cultural, political and social landscapes.
Hosted by Alastair Patterson, a leading figure in the Ulster-Scots community and respected international drum-major judge, Ulster-Scots Voices brings together a distinguished panel of politicians, entrepreneurs, cultural leaders and academics to explore the legacy of the Ulster-Scots and their role in modern society. The series reflects on their contributions to sectors such as industry, agriculture, the arts, and politics, and considers how these achievements can be leveraged in today’s interconnected world.
The series features a rotating panel of influential Ulster-Scots personalities, including Rev. Mervyn Gibson, Emma Shaw, Ian Marshall, Matthew Warwick, Colin Breen, Gary McDonald, Diane Armstrong, Evan Morton and Brian Wilson.
Each episode promises to offer a thought-provoking and diverse perspective on topics ranging from cultural preservation and education to international political representation and musical heritage.
