Northern Ireland Screen’s Digital Film Archive and PRONI present Home Movie Day
Date Posted: October 2, 2018
Northern Ireland Screen’s Digital Film Archive and PRONI are joining forces to proudly present Belfast’s first Home Movie Day. Part of an international festival, this event celebrates amateur films and filmmakers, providing the opportunity to have old footage assessed and examined, alongside screenings of material that will allow us to reflect on the way things were.
Staff from the Digital Film Archive will be available over two drop-in evenings on Thursday 11th and Thursday 18th October from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. They will be ready to offer advice on a range of queries, including storage, repair, and reformatting of your film.
On Saturday 20th October there will be an all-day drop in from 10:00am to 4:00pm with screenings of films and talks on preservation and the work of archives.
Each event will take place in PRONI – the location can be found here.
Each drop-in session is free.
