Nominations Announced for the 46th Celtic Media Festival

The nominations for the 46th Celtic Media Festival were announced yesterday, with several projects made in Northern Ireland receiving well-deserved recognition. This year’s festival will take place from 3rd to 5th June 2025 in Newquay, Cornwall.
A range of projects funded through Northern Ireland Screen’s Irish Language Broadcast Fund (ILBF) have received nominations this year. Lí Ban (Paper Owl) has been shortlisted for best Animation, while Crá (Fíbín Media) has been nominated in the Drama Series (Screen) category. Saol na mBan (Clean Slate TV) has secured a nomination for Factual Series (Sound), while An Bothy Band (Big Mountain Productions) has been recognised in the Live Music Programme (Screen) category and Idir Dhá Bhaile – Ó Chív go Corcaigh (Below the Radar TV) has been nominated for best Single Documentary (Screen).
Other Northern Ireland Screen-supported projects receiving nominations include A Wind and the Shadow (Out of Orbit, Enter Yes), which joins Lí Ban in the Animation category, and The B Team (BBC Studios) which has been nominated in the Comedy (Screen) category. In the History (Screen) category, Chinook: Zulu Delta 576 (Fine Point Films) has also been recognised. Additionally, Kneecap (Fine Point Films) has earned nominations in both Single Drama (Screen) and the prestigious Spirit of the Festival category.
We also extend our congratulations to Northern Ireland-based production companies, including Belfast’s Fine Point Films and Derry’s Alleycats TV, on their well-earned nominations for their projects across multiple categories.
