NI Film and Television School – Open Night for 2018 Courses

Date Posted: January 12, 2018

The NI Film and Television School, located at the South Eastern Regional College (SERC) campus in Bangor, is hosting an open night for prospective students on Tuesday 16 January from 6pm to 8.30pm.

This is an opportunity to meet the teaching team and view the broadcast standard kit and studio facilities. The School offers a one year part-time HNC in Creative Media, delivered over two full days a week. The next course is about to open for applications and will commence in September 2018. Students will work on live production projects, developing their camera and lighting skills. They will also learn how to craft and hone their scripts, taking them from page to screen, and become proficient in post-production techniques.

Classes take the form of lectures, guest speakers, industry visits, production workshops, film residentials and industry masterclasses. Due to its part-time delivery, the course attracts applicants from 18 to 60yrs that share a passion for film and television and want to work in the industry.

There is an option to do a second year top-up HND course that includes an industry work placement with a local production company. Applicants may be eligible to have their fees paid in full. Previous graduates have gone on to join Northern Ireland Screen’s prestigious Aim High Scheme, freelance with local production companies and work on full-length feature films.  You can register your attendance to attend here.
