Launch of digital series How Tae Highland Dance

In a groundbreaking collaboration with the Bready-based Sollus Highland Dancers, and with support from Northern Ireland Screen’s Ulster-Scots Broadcast Fund, Triplevision Productions proudly presents the launch of How Tae Highland Dance.
This vibrant new digital series is designed to teach and inspire young audiences through the energetic techniques of Highland dance, using social media platforms for easy access and engagement. The series also features dances filmed at several iconic Londonderry locations including the Guildhall, Ebrington Square and the banks of the Foyle.
The launch event for How Tae Highland Dance, at the New Gate Arts & Culture Centre in Londonderry on Monday 5 August, celebrated Ulster-Scots’ rich cultural heritage and the artistry of Highland dance.
The Sollus Highland Dancers, headed by Georgina Kee-McCarter, captivated the audience with a stunning Ceili dance performance, showcasing their exceptional talent and dedication to preserving this traditional art form. Frank Ferguson, Chair of the Ulster-Scots Broadcast Fund, and Heidi McAlpin, Ulster-Scots Broadcast Fund Executive, were also at the event, highlighting the importance of the series in promoting Ulster-Scots culture.
The production team from Triplevision Productions, who brought How Tae Highland Dance to life, were also in attendance, celebrating the successful launch of the series they meticulously crafted. Their commitment to cultural storytelling was evident in every aspect of the event.
