The final season of Channel 4’s critically acclaimed series Derry Girls is nominated for Comedy (Screen). The final series aired on Channel 4 in April with 1.2 million tuning in to watch the finale featuring Chelsea Clinton.

An Eachtra, the first radio drama to air from our Irish Language Broadcast Fund and BBC Gaeilge, is nominated for Drama (Sound). The series is about four friends celebrating their graduation on a desolate island for a supposed weekend of fun and adventure. However, secrets and strained relationships surface, a murder is committed and the ‘family’ decide to cover it.

This year’s shortlist includes BBC One’s detective series Bloodlands, for the coveted title of Drama Series (Screen). Produced by HTM Television and created and written by local man Chris Brandon, the series unravels a trail of greed that threatens to expose the identity of legendary assassin, Goliath.

Irish Language Broadcast Fund project, Seán Ó Riada – Mo Sheanathair, has been nominated for the Feature Documentary (Screen) award. Produced by Táin Media, in this documentary Sean Ó Riada’s granddaughter Doireann Ní Ghlacáin resolves to find out more about this divisive and iconic figure 50 years after his death.

Supported by our Irish Language Broadcast Fund, Raidió Fáilte is up for Radio Station of the Year.

Rain Stories, presented by Anne McAlpine, is nominated for Factual Series (Screen). The series explores how rain has influenced our cultures and traditions.
