The highly anticipated film “In the Land of Saints and Sinners” is now available for streaming on Netflix. Penned by locals Mark McNally and Terry Loane, this captivating script emerged through Northern Ireland Screen’s esteemed New Writer Focus scheme, designed to nurture emerging voices in Northern Ireland.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Donegal, “In the Land of Saints and Sinners” introduces audiences to a retired assassin, portrayed by the legendary Liam Neeson, whose tranquil existence in a remote Irish village is shattered when he becomes entangled in a perilous game of cat-and-mouse with a trio of vengeful terrorists. The stellar ensemble cast also includes esteemed actors such as Colm Meaney, Ciarán Hinds, Kerry Condon, Jack Gleeson, Sarah Greene, Desmond Eastwood, Conor MacNeill, Seamus O’Hara, Valentine Olukoga, and Mark O’Regan, each delivering powerful performances that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

“In the Land of Saints and Sinners” received development support and funding from Northern Ireland Screen. The film is produced by Belfast’s Geraldine Hughes and Terry Loane of Prodigal Films Limited, in collaboration with Facing East’s Markus Barmettler and Philip Lee. Executive producers include Kieran Corrigan, Ehud Bleiberg, Danny Dimbort, Nicholas Bennett, Victor Hadida, Marc Jacobson, Lorenz Seuss, Adrian Grabe, Daniel Fluri, and Marcel Gloor.
