Grierson DocLab: New Entrants training programme is open for applications.

Returning for the 13th time, the Grierson DocLab: New Entrants is for UK-based 18-25 year olds with a passion for documentary and factual TV who are new entrants to the industry. Grierson DocLab: New Entrants will provide up to 12 successful individuals with the skills, confidence and connections to take their first steps into factual TV and documentary making.
No prior TV/film experience is required, and candidates don’t need to have studied film/TV to apply either.
The Grierson Trust are looking for candidates interested in exploring a variety of new entrant roles – people who have fresh perspectives, creative ideas and a positive, can-do attitude towards the programme and their career in TV.

Successful candidates get intensive training (in person and online), a trip to Sheffield DocFest, a paid work placement at a production company, a mentor match, career coaching and much more.
The Grierson Trust especially welcome applications from those under-represented in the industry (whether based outside of London, disabled people, from an ethnic minatory background, LGBTQ+ community etc), with a particular focus on those form working class backgrounds this year.
The training programme is completely free to apply for and there is no cost involved in taking part in the programme for successful applicants.
