Date Posted: May 28, 2021
The Filmarket Hub platform and Edinburgh International Film Festival have launched the Celtic Screen Talent Showcase – a virtual pitch event dedicated to feature films and scripted series in development by talent from the six Celtic nations. The call for submissions will be open until Thursday 24th June.
This brand new initiative aims to discover high quality unproduced projects from the Celtic regions and match them with leading companies in the international industry. Executives from CrossDay Productions, Curzon, Endor Productions, Gaumont, Great Point Media, Head Gear Films, NBCUniversal International Studios and Red Arrow Studios are confirmed to attend.
The event will take place online from 5th – 6th August as part of the industry activity of the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Day one will be dedicated to feature films and day two will showcase scripted series.
Submissions are now open for projects either at the script stage or with some finance secured, from Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Cornwall, Isle of Man or Brittany. Representatives from the selected projects will have the opportunity to pitch and meet each of the participating executives in one-to-one meetings.
The Celtic Screen Talent Showcase is supported by Ffilm Cymru Wales and BFI NETWORK, awarding funds from The National Lottery, Northern Ireland Screen, Screen Ireland and Screen Cornwall.
