Call for Training Providers

We are creating a framework of experienced freelance trainers and training organisations from the screen industries to provide training services on an as needed basis. The actual training needs will be identified as the strategy unfolds.
The freelance trainers and training organisations must have a particular insight into their area of expertise and they must be able to provide clear and informed training to companies and freelancers.
The areas of screen industry development that we have required freelance trainers and training organisations in the past and may require during the strategy are:

This list is not exhaustive and we welcome applications from freelance trainers and training organisations who offer screen industry training in areas not listed above.
It must be understood that there is absolutely no guarantee that Northern Ireland Screen will need any of these services either listed above or sent in separately.
PROFESSIONAL ABILITY
Individuals who wish to be considered for inclusion on Northern Ireland Screen’s Trainers list must be able to demonstrate the following minimum professional criteria:
- Have a relevant qualification in the area applied, for example Accountancy be a member of an accountancy body and at least 3 years post qualification experience.
Or
- Have a minimum of 12 consecutive months experience in screen industry training in the area of expertise applied for.
Or
- Have a minimum of 12 consecutive months experience of providing advice or guidance to companies, freelancers or teams working within the screen industry.
- Evidence an excellent knowledge of the screen industries in the UK and Ireland as well as a good knowledge of international screen industry practice within their area of specialty.
In support of the above criteria, freelance trainers and training organisations must submit a CV and a cover letter clearly outlining their relevant experience to the area or areas applied for, with two references to [email protected].
Please clearly state the daily rate in your cover letter.
All successful tenderers will be required to undergo an Access NI check.

If contracted you will be classed as supplier to Northern Ireland Screen and will be liable for your own HMRC and VAT payments.
CLOSING DATE
Closing date for this call is Friday 29th April.
If your application is shortlisted you may be required to attend for an interview.
PERIOD OF SERVICE
It is anticipated that subject to the continuing availability of funding the framework will be live for a maximum of 24 months, reviewed at 6 months. It should be noted that Northern Ireland Screen cannot guarantee a level of work.
It is anticipated that service provision will commence April 2022.
ASSUMPTIONS
Individuals applying must not make assumptions that Northern Ireland Screen has prior knowledge of them or their service provision and they will only be evaluated on the information provided in their response.
CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
The service provider must confirm that they have no conflict of interest or perceived conflict of interest in delivering this service.
The successful service provider must not allow themselves to be placed in a position where their personal interests are in conflict (or could be in conflict) with the interests or business of Northern Ireland Screen.
PAYMENT
Payment will be made following receipt and approval by Northern Ireland Screen of a detailed invoice.
