The festival programme has been carefully curated to help you:
- develop your storytelling and filmmaking skills

- understand career pathways in the screen industry
- find career and training opportunities
- consider what next steps to take
- network and find your community
- get to know the work of other young filmmakers
- feel inspired to make your own projects!
Industry events
Each day the festival will host a number of events focused on a specific area of film and the screen industries. There will be panel discussions with industry experts, masterclasses, workshops, discussions, keynotes and interviews. This year will also see the return of the marketplace, a trade show where attendees can interact with and learn about companies and learning institutions from across the industry.
The online programme is completely free and accessible outside the UK allowing us to reach a worldwide audience for those events.
Films
There will be a full programme of 50 short films made by filmmakers aged 16 to 25. Check out our full film programme here. Films will be available for free on the BFI Player from Thursday 17th February until Thursday 3rd March.
