Indiegogo campaign launched for ZOO
Date Posted: June 9, 2016
The Northern Ireland producers of ZOO have launched an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to ask elephant fans and the Northern Ireland public to help raise the last funding needed to get the film into production this Summer.
ZOO tells the true story of how in 1941 during the Belfast Blitz a woman secretly walked a young elephant from Belfast Zoo each evening to the backyard of her terraced home. There, she cared for and comforted it as the Luftwaffe bombs rained down over Belfast. Seen through the eyes of 12 year old Tom, aided and abetted by his misfit friends, this moving adventure unfolds as Tom takes on the fight to save Buster the elephant.
Wee Buns Films and Ripple World Pictures have launched their Indiegogo campaign and partnered with the International Elephant Foundation to help raise awareness of conservational work with Asian elephants and their partner charities.
