Northern Ireland talent at the Galway Film Fleadh

The Galway Film Fleadh (5th-10th July) returns for its 28th edition with a programme promising plenty for audiences to enjoy. Short film at the Fleadh is a series of short film programmes which showcase the best in short film making talent. There were over 500 submissions resulting in a total of 14 short film screenings with the addition of four new strands and the return of some old favourites.
The Galway Film Fleadh’s Oscar® qualifying short film programme showcases an exciting mix of drama, documentary and animation, with the winners of the Teirnan McBride Award for Best Short Drama and the James Horgan Award for Best Short Animation gaining eligibility for Oscar® consideration.

This year’s festival will host not only shorts screenings but also panel discussions and networking events tailored towards short filmmakers, providing opportunities to meet International industry guests and their fellow filmmakers.
The short film programmes and events run across the festival from Wednesday 6th to Sunday 10th July.
