Eight ILBF supported projects shortlisted for the 2024 Oireachtas Media Awards

An tOireachtas has unveiled the shortlist for the 2024 Oireachtas Media Awards, and Northern Ireland Screen is proud to announce that 8 projects supported by its Irish Language Broadcast Fund have received nominations.
The Oireachtas Media Awards celebrate excellence in the Irish language media sector, recognising outstanding achievements across various roles, including presenters, producers, journalists, columnists, actors, and makers of television and radio programmes. These individuals will be honoured for their exceptional work over the past year.
Áine Walsh, Head of the Irish Language Broadcast Fund, expressed her delight in the nominees:
“We are incredibly proud of the projects supported by our Irish Language Broadcast Fund. This year’s Oireachtas Media Awards nominations are a testament to the exceptional talent and dedication of everyone involved. It is an honour to contribute to the growth and celebration of Irish language media, and we look forward to celebrating their achievements at the awards ceremony.”
This year’s ceremony features 13 award categories spanning traditional and online media. The ceremony event will take place on Wednesday, October 30th, 2024.

Ocht dTogra a bhFuair Tacaíocht Ón gCiste Craoltóireachta Gaeilge ar an Ghearrliosta do Ghradaim Chumarsáide an Oireachtais 2024
D’fhógair An tOireachtas an gearrliosta do Ghradaim Chumarsáide an Oireachtais 2024, agus tá lúchair ar Scaileán Thuaisceart Éireann go bhfuil ocht dtogra a bhfuair tacaíocht ón Chiste Craoltóireachta Gaeilge ainmnithe sa liosta seo.
Déanann Gradaim Cumarsáide an Oireachtais céiliúradh ar bharrfheabhas in earnáil na meáin chumarsáide Gaeilge, tríd éachtaí a aithint i measc rólanna eagsúla, san áireamh bíonn láithreoirí, iriseoirí, colúnaithe, aisteoirí agus léiritheoirí cláir teilifíse agus raidió.
Léirigh Áine Walsh, Ceannasaí an Chiste Craoltóireachta Gaeilge, gur chúis áthais di na hainmniúcháin:
“Tá muid thar a bheith brodúil as na tograí atá maoinithe ag an Chiste Craoltóireachta Gaeilge, is an-mholadh iad na hainmniúcháin ag Gradaim Chumarsáide an Oireachtais na bliana seo do sárchumas agus diograis na ndaoine a bhí páirteach iontu. Is mór an onóir dúinn cur le fás agus forbairt na meáin chumarsáide Gaeilge agus tá muid ag súil go mór an dul chun cinn seo a chéiliúradh ag an searmanas bronnta.”
Tá trí chatagóir déag (13) ar chlár na ngradam i mbliana. Is ar bhonn vóta poiblí a roghnófar Réalta Óg na Bliana. Cuirfear tús leis an vóta poiblí Dé Cheadaoin, 30ú Deireadh Fómhair 2024.
