Frequently Asked Questions
What are the specific details of the scheme that the Lead Organisation will run?
It is a pilot scheme for new talent in the border regions targeting third levels and other stakeholders. The Lead Organisation will work with Northern Ireland Screen and Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland in setting up the finer details and how funding is assigned. This is for emerging talent as a pilot scheme developing IP and prototypes as part of a 12 week mentorship currently.
Does the Lead Organisation need to be based in the border regions?
A connection to the border regions in terms of establishing relationships is ideal but physical presence is not essential once relationships are clear and strong with studios, third levels and other parties and mentors. As this is a cross border scheme, the focus is targeting an Organisation that can help independently run and support such public funding with Northern Ireland Screen and Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland.
