Produced by Big Mountain Productions, Ceiliúradh na Féile Pádraig is a BBC Northern Ireland co-commission with TG4, supported by Northern Ireland Screen’s Irish Language Broadcast Fund.
“We had a wonderful time in Armagh recording the concert,” said Daniel. “And I loved the chance to join some of my guests for special performances.
“I’ve met Seán Keane, Darren Holden, Brian Dunphy and Finbarr Clancy before, so it was really nice to meet up with them again.
“And it was a real treat to get to know the other acts and see such an array of new talent.”
He adds: “I really enjoyed meeting and watching the Irish dancers, but no, I didn’t join them for a number,” he laughs.
“My wife Majella and I will actually be abroad on St Patrick’s Day, but I’m looking forward to watching the concert on the iPlayer when we get home.”
Ceiliúradh na Féile Pádraig will also be available to watch on the BBC iPlayer and the TG4 Player via www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer and tg4.ie/en/player.

“Bhí am ar dóigh againn in Ard Mhacha ag taifeadadh an ceolchoirme,” arsa Daniel. “Agus bhain mé sult an domhain as an deis taibhithe speisialta a dhéanamh in éineacht le cuid do na haíonna.
“Bhí aithne agam ar Sheán Keane, Darren Holden, Brian Dunphy agus Finbarr Clancy roimhe seo, agus mar sin de, bhí sé thar a bheith deas bualadh leo arís.
“Agus ba mhór an pléisiúr é aithne a chur ar na daoine eile a bhí ar an ardán liom agus réimse tallann úr dá leithéid a fheiceáil.
Deir sé fosta: “Bhain mé sult an domhain as bualadh leis na damhsóirí Gaelacha agus amharc orthu i mbun damhsa, ach ní hea, níor bhac mé le damhsa beag a dhéanamh ina gcuideachta,” ar seisean, agus gáire ar a bhéal.
“Mise agus mo bhean chéile Majella, is amhlaidh go mbeidh muid ag dul thar lear ar Lá Fhéile Pádraig, ach tá mé ag dúil go mór leis an cheolchoirm a fheiceáil ar an iPlayer nuair a bhainim an baile amach.”
