Applications open for our New Entrant Training course

Northern Ireland Screen will run a 3-day training course aimed at new entrants to the Film & TV industry. The sessions are scheduled to take place in September 2018.
The course is aimed at those wishing to get their foot into the film and TV industry and to get a better understanding of how a professional film or TV set works. There is no requirement for previous industry experience, however, all applicants must be 18 years or over to apply. Northern Ireland Screen particularly welcomes applications from under-represented groups in Northern Ireland.
Course Details
There are 36 spaces available on this course, which will run over 3 days – Monday 3rd September to Wednesday 5th September. The training is broken into three sections encompassing key elements of a career in the industry. Successful candidates will be allocated into groups, which will focus on a different element of the course each day. The elements covered include:
- Set etiquette including a who’s-who of departments and responsibilities.
- BECTU Creative Industries Health & Safety Passport (certificate lasting 3 years)
- British Red Cross First Aid In The Workplace (certificate lasting 3 years).
Applications close Noon Friday 17th August 2018 and spaces will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
