ALTITUDE ANNOUNCE DEALS TO US AND THE UK FOR THE OCCUPANT

Altitude have announced several deals on Hugo Keijzer’s epic sci-fi thriller, THE OCCUPANT which will enjoy its World Premiere at the inaugural SXSW London in June.
The high-concept thriller is produced by Raymond van der Kaaij for Revolver Amsterdam, Kwesi Dickson, Jay Taylor and Isabel Freer for Electric Shadow Company and co-produced by 20 Steps International. The film was supported by the Netherlands Film Fund, the BFI Global Screen Fund, Northern Ireland Screen, ESC Studios and financing was led by Orogen Entertainment and Blair Ward, Anders Erdén and Lauren Case serve as executive producers.
DECAL have picked up North American rights to the film whilst Signature Entertainment will distribute in the UK & Ireland along with Australia & New Zealand.
The sci-fi thriller, co-written and directed by Hugo Keijzer, and based on his 2019 acclaimed short film of the same name, features rising star, Ella Balinska (RESIDENT EVIL, CHARLIE’S ANGELS) and Rob Delaney (DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE, CATASTROPHE)
On a desperate quest for her dying sister’s survival, Abby (Balinska) finds herself stranded and alone in the Caucasus mountains, where a mysterious helper offers her the choice between accepting the inevitable or abandoning reality.
The film is supported by the UK Global Screen Fund – financed by the UK Government’s Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and administered by the BFI.
