Forléargas | Overview
Is iad cúspóirí an Chiste Craoltóireachta Gaeilge (CCG) ná maoiniú a chur ar fáil le hardchaighdeán ábhar Gaeilge a léiriú agus a chraoladh do lucht féachana i dTuaisceart Éireann agus níos faide i gcéin agus le cinntiú go bhfásfaidh an earnáil léiriúcháin Gaeilge i dTuaisceart Éireann.
Maoiníonn an ciste thart fá 60 uair an chloig d’ábhar físe i nGaeilge in aghaidh na bliana. Tá maoiniú forbartha agus léiriúcháin ar fáil do réimse leathan seánraí agus craoltar an t-ábhar seo ar BBC Thuaisceart Éireann, TG4 & RTÉ maraon le hardáin ilmheánacha. Cuireann an CCG maoiniú ar fáil ó thaobh oiliúna de do chainteoirí Gaeilge atá ag obair san earnáil léiriúcháin nó ar mian leo dul ag obair inti.
Cuireann an CCG cáipéisí coimisiúnaithe le chéile go bliantúil fosta i gcomhar leis na craoltóirí BBC TÉ, TG4 agus RTÉ. Bíonn treoirlínte sna cáipéisí seo a thugann mionsonraí faoin chineál ábhar is mian linn a mhaoiniú i gcomhar leis na craoltóirí.
Bíonn 2-3 bhabhta maoinithe ag an CCG achan bhliain. Is iad na spríocdhátaí d’iarratais mhaoinithe an Chiste in 2025:
- 5.i.n Dé hAoine 28ú Márta 2025
- 5.i.n Dé hAoine 29ú Lúnasa – Ábhar Digiteach & Fuaime 2025
- 5.i.n Dé hAoine 26ú Meán Fómhair 2025
Ní mór d’iarratasóirí fianaise shoiléir a chur ar fáil sula ndéanfar tionscadail a mhaoiniú go bhfreastalóidh an t-ábhar, nuair a léireofar é, ar lucht féachana fairsing i dTuaisceart Éireann. Is í an fhianaise is mó atá de dhíth ná go bhfuil geallúint ó chraoltóir go dtabharfar tacaíocht don tionscadal. D’fhéadfadh fianaise dhifriúil a sholáthar de shroicheadh lucht féachana i gcásanna ar leith áfach, ábhar ar líne mar shampla.
Tabhair aird ar na critéir mhaoinithe a leanas:
- Is bunriachtanas maoinithe é go gcaithfidh ar a laghad 75% den ábhar labhartha sna cláracha a bheith i nGaeilge.
- Ní mór fianaise ar mhaoiniú meaitseála a chur ar fáil agus más cuí, fianaise a chur ar fáil go gcuirfidh an tionscadal le léibhéal cláracha na gcraoltóirí.
Breathnóidh Coiste Infheistíochta an CCG ar ghach iarratas maoinithe ach beidh aird chuí ag baill an choiste ar na critéir seo a leanas:
- Má chloíonn an tionscadal leis na tosaíochtaí leagtha síos ag an CCG
- Caighdeán an iarratais agus mealltacht don lucht féachana.
- Luach airgid/uasmhéadú acmhainní an CCG cinntithe.
- Inrochtaineacht taobh istigh de sceideal an chraoltóra/uasmhéadú rochtana lucht féachana.
- Cur le forbairt na hearnála léiriúcháin neamhspleách Gaeilge i dTuaisceart Éireann; tríd earcaíocht oibrithe cainteoirí líofa Gaeilge, comhléiriú agus/nó comhchraoladh a chur chun cinn nó má léirítear féidireachtaí oiliúna agus gnéithe forbartha a fhuáil san iarratas.
The aims of the Irish Language Broadcast Fund (ILBF) are to promote the production and broadcast of quality Irish language content for an audience in Northern Ireland and beyond and to help grow the Irish language production sector in Northern Ireland.
The Fund finances around 60 hours annually of Irish language content. Development and production funding is available for a wide variety of genres; and broadcast on BBC Northern Ireland, TG4 and RTÉ as well as various digital platforms. The ILBF also provides funding for a range of training initiatives for Irish speakers currently working or aspiring to work in the production sector in Northern Ireland.
The ILBF also produces annual commissioning documents in conjunction with BBC NI, TG4 and RTÉ, detailing the type of content we wish to fund with each of the broadcasters.
The ILBF holds 2-3 funding rounds per year. Deadlines for funding applications to the ILBF in 2025 are:
- 5 pm Friday 28th March 2025
- 5pm Friday 29th August – Digital & Audio Content Call 2025
- 5pm Friday 26th September 2025
Before applying for funding, you must produce clear evidence that the content will, once produced, reach a substantial audience in Northern Ireland. This audience reach will most usually be evidenced through the commitment of an appropriate broadcaster but may in some cases, such as online content, be evidenced differently.
Please be aware of the funding criteria below:
- The minimum Irish language content requirement is 75% of the spoken word.
- Evidence of match funding, and if appropriate, evidence that the project is additional to current programming levels of the broadcaster must be provided.
All funding applications will be considered by the ILBF Investment Committee which will have due consideration for the following:
- That the project complies satisfactorily with the priorities set
- The quality of the proposal and audience appeal
- Value for money/maximising ILBF resources
- Accessibility within the broadcaster’s schedule/maximising audience access
- Contribution to the development of the Irish language independent production sector in NI; whether through employment of production personnel fluent in Irish, promoting co-production and/or co-broadcasting or incorporating training and development elements into the proposal.
