High-Octane Action: DodgeCraft’s Game Modes Push Players to Their Limits
DodgeCraft delivers an electrifying VR experience with two distinct game modes that promise to get pulses racing.
Dodge’Em
In Dodge’Em, players are thrown into a fast-paced arena where they must duck, dive, and dodge a storm of asteroids hurtling toward them at dizzying speeds. With adjustable play spaces and difficulty levels ranging from beginner to professional, it’s a test of reflexes that players can tailor to their abilities.
Run The Gauntlet
Run the Gauntlet places players in the role of defender battling an onslaught of cunning bots and humanoids. These opponents employ deceptive manoeuvres to sidestep, outwit, and breach your defences.
Both game modes are designed to improve agility, decision-making, and reaction speeds—all while delivering heart-pounding fun.
Science Meets Gameplay
DodgeCraft was inspired by INCISIV’s CEO Professor Cathy Craig’s own sporting frustrations. As a former Ulster Rugby out-half she often found it difficult to commit to a tackle. She explained:
“As a player, I would often hold back and not make the hit. DodgeCraft offers a great way to learn to anticipate and act decisively as a defender without running the risk of injury. In other words, it will let you train without the pain!”
DodgeCraft’s intelligent bots use principles from Craig’s research on deceptive movement, delivering scientifically backed gameplay. Featuring real players’ sidesteps and footwork, showcased as gladiators and holograms, it’s perfect for enhancing defensive skills.
VR Sports Training with a Purpose
Looking ahead, INCISIV envisions its games as prime eSports contenders, thanks to their focus on measurable performance and realistic gameplay. With eSports now recsnized by the International Olympic Committee, VR games requiring full-body sports movements are natural choices for inclusion.
Supported by Northern Ireland Screen
The development of DodgeCraft was made possible with funding from Northern Ireland Screen, a key supporter of local innovation in gaming.
