Running a Volume
Course Overview
Training Provider: Final Pixel Academy
The Final Pixel Running a Volume VP Training is a 5-month, blended learning training programme aimed at creatives and technicians working across film, television, games, live events and VFX who wish to scale up to work in the exciting world of virtual production.
The training programme draws upon Final Pixel’s knowledge and expertise gained through real-world, end-to-end virtual production shoots and their VAD (virtual art department) design and development to be delivered in partnership with local studio facilities to provide access for both creative and technical hands-on practice space, as well as provide bleeding-edge technologies required for ICVFX (in camera VFX) training and learning.
This experience will provide trainees with bespoke and high-level virtual production training specifically in the core areas of the roles of Stage Operator, Stage Technician and Technical Artist working both in OSVP (onset virtual production) and the VAD (virtual art department). Training is based on proven workflows with access to the full suite of tools, technologies, creative applications, and industry experts at the cutting edge. Training in this programme aims to increase the likelihood that trainees will go on and use the software and facilities for their future projects and endeavours and forge career pathways into real-time virtual production.
Final Pixel’s access to strategic industry partnerships also offers a wide variety of software and hardware, non-proprietary tools, and open/accessible approaches to collaboration, global networks, professional skills development and additional, ongoing training, apprenticeships, work experience, and on-set experiences across professional commercial projects, industry events, and R&D.
