USBF Funding Awarded

The USBF Investment Committee has confirmed support for a series of BBC Northern Ireland productions, with funding awarded to Clean Slate Television, DoubleBand Films, Below the Radar and Triplevision Productions.
Chef Paula McIntyre will be heading stateside for a new six-part series of Paula McIntyre’s Hamely Kitchen USA. On her travels Paula will be uncovering the Ulster-Scots influences in the food of New Hampshire and Appalachia, two key areas settled by Ulster-Scots in the 18th century. The series is being produced by Clean Slate Television.
DoubleBand Films will be producing hour-long documentary Out of the Shadows in which Ulster-Scots writer Anne McMaster explores contemporary and historic female writers inspired by and working in the hamely tongue.
Upcoming restoration series, Auld Treasures, produced by Below the Radar and presented by Lolly Spence, has been commissioned for a second series. Lolly travels around Northern Ireland finding objects with an Ulster-Scots story and in need of repair – and connects them with craftspeople who can bring them back to life.
And in new two-part series Tartan Tales, Triplevision Productions will be bringing us behind the scenes of the Harris Kilt Company, meeting the staff and customers with a passion for this historic pattern.
