Writing and Directing Networkshop

Sarah Gordon and Damian McCann will be delivering a joint online Networkshop on Writing and Directing on Tuesday 27th September at 7pm. Sarah began writing and directing for theatre and recently crossed over to film and TV. She has been part of Northern Ireland Screen’s New Writer Focus feature development scheme, and BBC Writersroom’s Drama Room programme. Damian has worked as a director, primarily in the Irish language sector for 14 years.
Sarah and Damian co-produced a short film JUST THE TWO OF US as part of the BBC Arts and BBC Arts NI Splendid Isolation series in 2020. In 2021 Sarah wrote and directed RAT, a short film which Damian executive produced for their production company, Púca Pictures. In 2021 Damian directed his debut feature, DOINEANN, an Irish language feature, written by Aislinn Clarke and starring Peter Coonan, Bríd Brennan and Clare Monnelly. DOINEANN was produced by Doubleband Films.
