The Production Guild of Great Britain is hosting mental health courses in production.
Managing Mental Health for Crew
Saturday 17th September at 9.30am – 1pm
Lead by Matt Longley, Co-founder of 6ft From The Spotlight, that provides mental wellbeing support to self-employed film/TV members. Matt is an accredited i-act instructor who delivers The Royal College of Psychiatrists accredited i-act course Managing Mental Health for Crew Course. This course offers practical tools for helping recognise when colleagues may need further help and support and gives guidance of how to manage mental health and wellbeing issues. The objective is to promote positive wellbeing on set to help build resilience for all crew. This course comes with an evidence-based course manual, toolkit and resource pack that will be sent to each participant in advance of the course.
This course is aimed at Producers, Line Producers, Heads of Department or anyone who manages or supervises others. Any crew who want a better understanding of how to deal with mental health for themselves and their colleagues.
Mental Health and the Law on a film and TV production
Saturday 24th September at 9:30am – 1:30pm
Lead by Matt Longley, Co-founder of 6ft From The Spotlight, providing mental wellbeing support to self-employed film/TV members. He sits on the Film and TV Charity’s working group to develop a mental health training framework and contributed to their Whole Picture Toolkit. This informative course covers Mental Health and the Law in the UK & Ireland, HSE Stress Management Standards and Stress Risk Assessments, with practical steps of how to discern, write and disseminate in-depth stress risk assessments.
This course is aimed at Producers, Senior HoDs, Health and Safety Advisers, Senior Managers in companies/organisations that work in the film and TV industry. Those wanting to work as Well Being Facilitators in the industry.
