WFTV four nations mentoring scheme returns for 2022

The Women in Film and Television (WFTV) Northern Ireland mentoring scheme for mid-career women based in the UK closes tomorrow (Friday 19th November) at 5pm.
The scheme, sponsored by Netflix, is designed for women looking to take a significant step in their career – 41 mentees will be selected from across the four nations to take part in the 2021 programme. It runs for six months, during which time each of the participants are paired up with senior industry professionals for six hours of mentoring contact alongside peer-to-peer training and seminars, WFTV events and wider industry networking opportunities.
Mentors who took part in last year’s scheme included writer Sally Wainwright, Peter Fincham, Co-CEO Expectation Entertainment, Director Phillippa Lowthorpe, CEO Wonderhood Studios David Abraham, Channel 4 commissioning editor Fozia Khan, Director Sarah Gavron, writer/director Declan Lawn and presenter and journalist Ellie Flynn.
To be eligible to apply for this scheme applicants must have five years’ experience or more in the film and TV industry.
