Belfast Met Film and TV School Documentary Production course is open for applications

The award-winning Belfast Met Film and TV School is launching a new Level 5 HND in Documentary Production (Moving Image and Audio Productions) and is recruiting now for the September 2021 cohort.
This course will explore narrative in documentary productions, and in the two years you will produce several moving image factual productions, an audio documentary/podcast, a documentary film magazine (via our Film Studies unit) and create and manage a factual film festival – in which you will showcase your work. Over the two years you will complete units in camera work, editing, audio recording, project management, narrative in factual film, and many more, including modules that will assist you in building a CV/Resume, career plan, and a portfolio for your work.
How will you be accessed?
- Practical Projects (Short Films Podcasts, Audio Documentaries, eMagazines, Group Pitches, Showreels, and a film Festival Project)
- Written assignments (illustrated reports, CVs, Career Plans, preproduction planning, and evaluations).
What are the entry requirements?
To quality for entry in 2021/22, you must have at least 80 UCAS Tariff points as well as Level 2 in Maths and English / Literacy and Numeracy and a keen interest in storytelling via factual film and audio productions. Prior experience and/or qualifications in Moving Image/Film/Media is not mandatory but would be highly beneficial.
