Script Supervisor for TV and Film- 2 day course in Belfast

Script Supervisor for TV and Film is a two day intensive course which will be held in Northern Ireland Screen’s offices in Belfast on Wednesday 3 February – Thursday 4 February. The course is funded by the Creative Skillset Skills Investment Fund and designed and administered by Grand Scheme Media.

The aim is to introduce delegates to the key skills required to develop into a Script Supervisor with a view to stepping up and meeting the demand for increased TV and film drama production throughout the UK. This series of two day workshops will enable experienced drama production staff such as Production Coordinators and Production Assistants to begin to understand the job of Script Supervisor and to develop the skills needed to step up into this demanding role.
Aside from expert advice on the complex role, duties and responsibilities of a Script Supervisor, the workshops will also contain practical exercises with the aid of industry experts. Grand Scheme hope to work with the leading UK TV and film drama production companies and broadcasters to develop further opportunities for delegates following the course.
The tutor Caryn Langrick has worked as a Script Supervisor/Continuity in BBC Drama Series on Casualty, Eastenders, Lovejoy, Inspector Alleyn, Riff Raff Element and Between the Lines. She transferred to BBC Training as a Senior Course Producer where she ran a portfolio of PA courses including specialist courses in Drama Continuity and Drama/Doc Continuity. She also designed and oversaw their Script editing courses. She is now working as a Freelance Script Supervisor for both the BBC & ITV on highly successful shows including Holby City and Casualty.
