FIRST AND SECOND CALLS 2013/14 FOR APPLICATIONS TO THE ULSTER-SCOTS BROADCAST FUND

Northern Ireland Screen is pleased to announce the first and second calls in 2013/14 (eighth and ninth calls overall) for the Ulster-Scots Broadcast Fund. The closing date for the first call is 5pm on Friday 26th April 2013 and the closing date for the second call is 5pm on Friday 21st June 2013.

Please note that the funding of television programmes by the Ulster-Scots Broadcast Fund is dependent on a broadcaster having indicated that it wishes to broadcast the programme proposed. The first call in 2013/14 is intended to consider projects that broadcasters have already shown interest in and made an in principle commitment to. The second call is intended to facilitate projects at an earlier stage of development.

The Committee has issued a number of further guiding notes and may, no later than the 3rd May, issue further updates or amendments to the Priorities.

Potential applicants presently in discussion with BBC NI regarding Ulster-Scots magazine formats need not apply directly to the USBF as the Committee will be discussing directly with BBC NI which, if any, of the magazine proposals are attractive to the Committee.
